For Projects Needing Music
scoreAscore offers two options for project owners needing music:
Customized, Original Music. Have composers create original custom scores for your particular projects.
At no cost you create Projects that we expose to composers who can choose to submit scores for your private review. You build your projects with descriptive text and requirements for the score you want, your music budget, terms of use, any location requirements and deadlines. At no cost you can upload an excerpt or a complete project video clip (up to a maximum of three minutes in length). Our hand selected pool of professional composers will audition by submitting a example of the music that is their interpretation of the perfect score for your project. We present the submissions in an organized format viewable within your personal Dashboard, which allows you to easily review and rate the materials and the composers.
Once you select a score, for projects of three minutes or less, you can (upon payment through PayPal) immediately download a high-quality file of the music. For projects over three minutes, which will involve the creation of additional music and often a creative discussion directly with the composer, upon payment of our fee, we will give you the composer's contact information, so that you may conclude an agreement directly.
Library Music. Search the extensive scoreAscore Music Library of original music for pre-existing scores, cues and songs.
The scoreascore Music Library allows you to browse, search and sample custom music of all types. Searching allows you to filter the music by mood, genre and price. We let you Rate, Like and Dislike composers and music. You can access your Favorites for use on later projects. This makes finding the perfect music easy.
There are two Music Library License / Purchase options:
Pre-Cleared Music, for which the composer has posted a price and described any terms of use.
Name-Your-Own Price, a revolutionary scoreAscore platform that allows you to name the price you would like for the music file, which the composer can either accept, reject or counter-offer through our site.
Once an agreement is concluded, all music library files are available for high quality download through scoreAscore.

scoreAscore has two kinds of opportunities for our hand selected pool of professional quality composers:
Compose Music for a Project
At no cost, shop through the section titled "Projects Needing Scores", where you can read descriptions of the projects, see what the project owners want in a score, the composer's compensation, terms of use, any location requirements, etc.
When you find a project that interests you, you create original music inspired by the visual images/descriptive text that is offered by the project owner. You can choose to download a low res version of the video example (if one was posted) to help you create your music. Once you are done, you access the project and Submit and upload your music file and your submission will be sent directly to the project owner for review. Once submitted, your music will be viewable only by the Project Owner and will automatically sync to the project's video (if one was posted) when the producer reviews the score right within his Dashboard on scoreAscore.com.
If the project is three minutes or less, and your score is chosen, you will be compensated through scoreAscore.com. If the project is over three minutes, and your score is chosen, your contact information will be provided to the project owner through scoreAscore.com, and you will conclude an agreement off the site. scoreAscore's compensation, which is a percentage of the fee, is paid by the project producer so there is no cost to you.
If your score is not chosen, you may submit your music to the scoreAscore Music Library, where you have the opportunity to earn money from your creative work. (For more Music Library info, read below). You can choose to Like or Dislike projects and review your Favorites at any time. You can also easily select a Project Owners ID and look at their other projects.
Submit Music to the scoreAscore Music Library
At no cost, upload your existing music to the Score A Score Music Library. You are completely in control of your music, and can choose from one of two options:
Pre-Cleared.
You set a pre-cleared dollar value (for example, $100 for use of a two-minute clip in any capacity). This is the method most favored by users, as they can immediately download and start using your music.
Name Your Own Price.
You make your music available and if the project owners like it, they submit a bid, describing the specific usage they want and the proposed price. You can then accept, reject or counter-offer the price. This is an innovative feature unique to the scoreAscore Music Library.
In either event, you keep ownership and total control of your music, and you can take it down at any time.
scoreAscore's fee will be added on top of the price given to the project owners (and deducted before giving you their bids), as these users will pay our service charge.
